mascara, mascara
Givenchy has come up with an amazzing cool new mascara. The formula isn't special, the same curling formula. what is special is BRUSH. The top is a spiky ball that reminds of tongue vibrator studs. This brush as advertised is "Revolutionary" because its a small round ball, the brush can be used with all eye shapes. No more fear of the humoungous brushes that has been out lately. The end result is supposed to be be a panoramic fanned out lash. When i first saw this i was stoked! The brush is just TOO cool! Also, the mascara can only be bought at Sephora, so its exclusive. Then i saw the reviews.... some were loving the product and some hated it. People said it smudged too easy, which is always a nono, at 27 bucks a pop, you want a long lasting, no smudge mascara. Though, the brush is still cool.

meet Frankenstein, the shoe...
picture says it all.
So, Steve Madden decided to make a heel, that looks a lot like a poor girl who could not get any heels for her own so she cut up a few sneakers to make her own. what was he thinking? this shoe is the Frankenstein of all shoes!! with bits and pieces coming from what looks like 7 different pairs of shoes/ sneakers. I saw this a while back at good ole Steve's but when i saw a copy cat version at Bakers, i waas stunned anyone would want to recreate it. Is this supposed to be fashionable? I cringe when i see this butchered shoe.

The aviator leather jacket
So, went shopping the other day and i noticed a new trend in the stores, the aviator jacket. I think its just leather jackets in general, saw some at Gap, Mango, Zara. I've seen a few people on the streets wearing nice leather jackets, and it just adds that extra spunk to an outfit. The jackets were estimated 200 bucks at the different stores and i just didnt have that kinda money to dish out for one trendy jacket. So i did the unthinkable.. i bought a fake leather, or pleather aviator bomber jacket. Like this one, but slightly different:

I was thinking to myself that, even though i promised never to buy fake leather ( i think it can be incredibly tacky) the jacket wasn't half bad, plus it was a trendy item. I decided I'd buy it, so I would have a new jacket for fall/winter. If i ever were to buy a real leather jacket, which i plan to do, i want a nice blazer type one. Something classy, yet has that extra spunk, that will be stylish for a long time. yep plan to in the future

Alice in Runway land!
haha, i found this picture online somewhere, of a airbrush art on a wall. I thought this was great, Alice walking on a runway with her spectators, rabbits! I think what drew me to this was because of the Andy Warholesque of it. Usually i dont like airbrush art, its just not my taste. Looks like she has a new fantasy of being a model!

Of feet and decadent shoes.
Yesterday, as i was walking around, wearing my pretty shoes, I thought to myself this hurts but i dont want to take them off. I have realised something, what I have realised is that (in my opinion) people are attracted to pretty shoes is because we hate our feet. This theory makes sense, I mean, people wear heels, boots, and all sorts of shoes that hurt our feet, but don't care. We wear painful shoes because the thought of the pretty shoe covering our ugly feet, overpowers our urge to take it off. When you put on a nice shoe, it forces your feet into a pretty shape, which reminds me of the ole foot binding in China, days.
In all of history there are storys of small feet, like cinderella and her glass slipper, how her sisters chop off part of their large feet to fit into the small slipper(in the old origional one, not disney). The foot binding in china ofcourse, where little girls bind their feet for YEARS to fit into pretty little slippers. I rememer back in middle school where i read this exerpt from a diary of one of these young girls and she said "when i turned 13 they(feet) finally stopped hurting". That line I've always remembered, and haunts me. In france when there was a revolution all the upper class aristocrats traded in their uncomfortable high heels to flats because they wanted to blend with the peasents and not get killed. The flat was also uncomfortable because they didnt care for comfort, they cared that the shoe made their feet look small.
Even today, people wore shoes too small for their feet just so, they look pretty. I've seen so many feet that just looks deranged and I feel so gratefull that even though my feet are slightly wider than i wish them to be, that my second toe doesn't look too much longer than my big toe, and when i say longer i mean just 2 millimeters longer. Some people get surgery to remove the excess cartilage in the toe which makes it look long. (getting a little off topic?)
well anyways, I just feel that people are attracted to pretty uncomfortable shoes because we hate our feet, and want something pretty to cover it. Theres one thing to like shoes, another to be completly obsessed! There are people there that are. (me slightly included)

btw i really freakin want these!

BLACK lips is CHIC!
The new trend for fall is black lips! no joke, Brand names like Lancome and YSL came up with their version of black lip glosses. Actually, even though has been a hit with dark gothic looks in the runway, i was surprised to see this. I mean, i think of the goth kids in school when i see this, though its supposed to be a more "polished sophisticated" look. In YSL's fall runway looks the model's have very pale fair skin, and eye covering hair to compliment the lips. The look, does look pretty chic on the runway, but i wonder how this would look on a lady walking on the streets of daily life. I dont expect to see a lot of people with this look and i dont think the labels do either, the lipglosses are limited edition, only 500 sets are available at lancom-usa.com, and you have to pre-order the lancome version online only. The lancome "phila" gloss is glittery and is meant to be layered over a red lipstick that comes with it while the YSL "pur noir" is meant to be put on straight from the tube. If you are bold give it a try!

RANTs
The blunt bang:
Lately I've taken onto a liking for the blunt bang hairdo, and I really really hate that my face shape isn't right for this style. I have a square face and i loathe that cant do this, i am stuck with the side swept bang forever!! I am so sick of the sideswept its everywhere!!!

The sept issue of vouge:
OMG is this serious?! i have never seen a bigger magazine in my life. this 798 page issue full to the brim with advertisements. Dont get me wrong ilike looking at ads but this is overwhelming! Its bigger than the bible! the mag wieghs like a brick and the articles are buried inside and i cant find them.
Wrong people wearing high waisted jeans:

the picture sums up what i mean by wearing these jeans the wrong way. I dont feel that girls with big bums and fronts should wear this type of jean niether should the short. No offense to them but this makes them looks trashy. Save this jean for the long and lean please.
